UK Money Supply Growth Dips Below Zero

Money supply growth in the UK, as measured by the year on year percentage change in the M3 money supply (not seasonally adjusted), dipped below zero to -1.7% in June according to figures just released by the Bank of England. This was the lowest growth rate since August 2012, representing a steep fall from the 5.7% reported in August last year.
